Чемпионат Англии от BBC.co.uk

Tottenham v Portsmouth 1245 GMT

Graphic
After a 4-4 against a side like Chelsea in what was a brilliant match, you might be tempted to think Tottenham would cruise to victory - but I think it will be quite tight.

With Jermain Defoe ineligible to play against his old team, I think Harry Redknapp will play quite a defensive team but I'm tipping Spurs to edge it.

Verdict: 1-0

Aston Villa v Sunderland

Graphic
You have to go for a home win, mainly because of Sunderland's terrible away form. They haven't won on the road all season and have managed only three points.

Aston Villa still have European places to play for so I think they'll prevail here.

Verdict: 2-1

Blackburn v Wigan
Graphic
Although I don't see them getting anything here, I think Wigan are going to be fine anyway. In many ways, I think their pitch at the JJB Stadium - although not good - has worked in their favour.

Blackburn are just a little bit inconsistent at the moment but I'll still take them to win at home.

Verdict: 2-1

Bolton v Man City

Graphic
I'm getting more and more worried about Bolton.

Most of the teams at the bottom have had a run where they can't win. With Bolton, they can't win because they can't score. That's obviously a massive problem.

The 2-0 defeat at Manchester United sounds OK but in reality, it was 2-0 after half an hour and the game was over.

City have just picked up. They had a good start to the season, a poor middle, and they look like they might finish strongly.

Match preview

Verdict: 1-1

Middlesbrough v Derby

Graphic
Derby are the whipping boys of the league and even though they were much-improved against Manchester United last time out, they still got nothing from it.

Middlesbrough have had some good results. I was really worried for them after they got beaten at home by Cardiff in the FA Cup. I thought they might just bottom out, but they've done well so I would expect them to win at home.

Match preview

Verdict: 2-0

Newcastle v Fulham

Graphic
A month or so ago, Fulham at home was almost the equivalent to Derby at home - three points guaranteed - but Roy Hodgson's team seem to have turned the corner.

Newcastle, meanwhile, are under masses of pressure to win this game but I'm just not convinced that, with their defence, they are ever going to keep a clean sheet.

Match preview

Verdict: 1-1

Reading v Birmingham

Graphic
Reading had a shocking run of eight straight defeats but they've come through that, winning two games before a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool in which they still put in a decent performance.

Birmingham play well one week, not particularly good the next, which is probably the result of having a relatively young and inexperienced team.

Match preview

Verdict: 2-1

Everton v West Ham 1715 GMT

Graphic
With Liverpool's difficult fixture list coming up, Everton know this is a game they must win to keep up the pressure on their Merseyside rivals.

West Ham won last week to stop a bad run but they're not great on the road so I think Everton will edge this.

Match preview

Verdict: 2-1

SUNDAY

Man Utd v Liverpool 1330 GMT

Graphic
This has got draw written all over it because against all the top teams away, Mr Benitez picks a team to stop the opposition playing.

He'll be banking on Fernando Torres to nick him a goal because I don't think Liverpool will have many chances.

I don't buy this talk that Cristiano Ronaldo can't perform in the big games. I think it's just one of those strange things. He hasn't done it yet but he will do. He's far too good not to. Maybe it will be on Sunday against Liverpool...

Match preview

Verdict: 1-1

Chelsea v Arsenal 1600 GMT

Graphic
Arsenal are a concern. I don't understand the mentality of players who can win in Milan but draw four on the trot in the Premier League. I just think they're not that strong mentally.

I think it'll be a very tight game, and it probably won't be a great spectacle, but I'll go for Chelsea.

Verdict: 1-0
