Celtic v Motherwell
![]() |
Celtic need to win every remaining game to have any chance of retaining the championship, it's as simple as that.
They will be disappointed at losing last weekend's Old Firm game, especially since they played so well in the first half.
Motherwell got a great win against an in-form Hibs last week and that will give them confidence after thay had lost their way during a stop-start period.
It won't be easy, but I expect Celtic to score a few goals and stay in the title race.
Prediction: 3-1
Gretna v Inverness CT
![]() |
With Gretna relegated and Inverness resigned to a bottom-six finish, this is a real nothing game.
Going into administration has hit Gretna hard and they haven't even scored a goal since all of the turmoil came to a head.
Inverness have been really struggling too. They haven't won a game since the last game against Gretna back in January.
Craig Brewster's team scored three last week and that still wasn't enough but I think they will edge what will be a hard slog on a very poor pitch.
Prediction: 0-1
Hibernian v St Mirren
![]() |
Hibs were poor by all accounts last week and they need to bounce back from the loss at Motherwell to stay in the hunt for third place.
With Motherwell and Dundee United playing the Old Firm, Hibs have a good chance to make up some ground on their rivals and I think they will do it.
St Mirren will be looking for a third win over Hibs this season and come into this game on the back of a draw at Aberdeen and last weekend's victory against Gretna.
With no threat of relegation for the Buddies, it should be an open game and I fancy Hibs to continue their good home form under Mixu Paatelainen.
Prediction: 2-1
Kilmarnock v Hearts
![]() |
Kilmarnock have been getting a few points on the board recently and Jim Jefferies will make sure there is no end-of-season slacking against his old team.
They played out a drab 0-0 at Falkirk last week and I can see this being another tight game, although nothing is really at stake for the home side.
This is the last throw of the dice for Hearts to salvage something from a really disappointing season.
The visitors have to win and hope the result at Pittodrie goes their way for a top-six finish but they've been so inconsistent and I can see them blowing it.
Prediction: 1-1
SUNDAY
Dundee Utd v Rangers
![]() |
I'm going to tip Rangers to drop points here.
Dundee United played really well against Rangers in the CIS Cup final and were unlucky to lose out after penalties.
The players are always fired up for these games and will give it everything as they look to win the race for third spot.
Rangers have been grinding out results without playing particularly well. They have been so strong at the back all season but this will be a real test for them.
Prediction: 1-1
MONDAY
Aberdeen v Falkirk
![]() |
A lot will depend on how Hearts get on at Rugby Park, but the Dons will be hoping to rescue what has been a poor league campaign.
If they are in with a shout of a top-six place, there should be a decent crowd cheering them on and I can see Aberdeen edging it.
Falkirk have not been losing goals but they haven't been scoring either, with three 0-0s from their last four games.
A draw could be enough for the Bairns but that can sometimes unsettle a side if they are too cautious.
Prediction: 1-0
