Чемпионат Англии от BBC

SATURDAY

Aston Villa v Man Utd (1245 GMT)

Aston Villa v Man Utd

I think Villa are still finding their feet this season and I feel against the bigger teams they are just a little too negative. They play counter-attacking football, which is Gerard Houllier's way, but I fancy United in this one.

With United having drawn so many games this season they might have to go for this a little bit. A point at Eastlands was a good result, but they cannot afford to lose more ground to leaders Chelsea.

Prediction: 1-2

Match preview

Man City v Birmingham

Man City v Birmingham

Birmingham have been a little inconsistent this season. After last year's brilliant campaign they've found it a bit more difficult, and goals have been a problem for them so far.

It is a game City will be lining up for a victory and they will be confident of with the players they have available.

Prediction: 2-0

Match preview

Newcastle v Fulham

Newcastle v Fulham

You just can't judge Newcastle at home, you are never quite sure what you are going to get. Good or bad. There have been teams that have gone to St James' Park and won quite comfortably which before the start of the season you wouldn't have predicted. But Fulham have struggled on the road. Yes, they haven't had that many defeats but they haven't made the opposition work defensively.

With any club that comes up from the Championship, in order to survive you need to have one player who is going to get you goals to keep you in the league, and Newcastle look to have found that player in Andy Carroll.

Prediction: 2-0

Match preview

Tottenham v Blackburn

Tottenham v Blackburn

Blackburn had an excellent win against Newcastle on Wednesday, and that would have delighted manager Sam Allardyce, but it will be difficult for them to reproduce that against Tottenham.

I cannot believe Tottenham got booed off at the weekend - I find that staggering after everything they have achieve this season. Supporters drive you mad sometimes, but I'm backing Spurs to get back to winning ways on Saturday.

Prediction: 2-0

Match preview

West Ham v Blackpool

West Ham v Blackpool

This is a big game for West Ham. The more the weeks go by, the more impressed I become with Blackpool. I just loved the way they went at Villa on Wednesday, especially after all the changes they made and they were desperately unlucky not to get something out of the game.

West Ham are fighting for their life, though, so I'm backing them to get the win, especially at home. However, I really do think that if Blackpool went there and won then, I wouldn't just fear for West Ham, I would say, "you know what, they're going to go down".

Prediction: 2-1

Match preview

Wigan v West Brom

Wigan v West Brom

Wigan had a good result against Liverpool which would have given them a lot of confidence, and I thought they were unlucky against Blackburn at the weekend. I expect this game to be quite tight, but I think Wigan have got the edge.

West Brom made a good start but they are just going through a bit of an inconsistent patch. They just have to keep going though and I think they'll be fine this season.

Prediction: 2-1

Match preview

Wolves v Bolton

Wolves v Bolton

Wolves are better than their last two matches suggest, having lost them both. But they beat Manchester City a couple of weeks ago and they performed very well against Manchester United and Arsenal.

Bolton will be bitterly disappointed not to have beaten Everton on Wednesday, especially conceding in the 94th minute, and I think Wolves will have the edge in this one

Prediction: 2-0

Match preview

Stoke v Liverpool (1730)

Stoke v Liverpool

I still think Liverpool are a little bit negative away from home. They took the lead against Wigan on Wednesday but failed to capitalise. They are slowly starting to turn things around, but it is going to take time. There is no substitute for good players, and Liverpool have got some outstanding players, but they also have some ordinary ones.

Stoke had a very good result on Tuesday against Birmingham and I think they can get something from this game.

Prediction: 1-1

Match preview

SUNDAY

Everton v Arsenal (1400)

Everton v Arsenal

Arsenal have been slightly inconsistent of late and I fancy Everton to get something from this game. I think David Moyes will have them fired up and they will tear into Arsenal on Sunday.

They have lost Marouane Fellaini because of his red card against Bolton, but they have been without him for much of this season, so they can cope with that.

Prediction: 2-1

Match preview

Chelsea v Sunderland

Chelsea v Sunderland

It has been a great reaction from Sunderland to losing 5-1 to rivals Newcastle. They won their next home game against Stoke and then went to Tottenham and picked up a good point.

Chelsea aren't playing great but they are churning out the results and you've got to say that at the moment they are the only team in the league that can do that.

Prediction: 2-0
