PREMIER LEAGUE PREDICTIONS

Arsenal v Stoke

Arsenal v Stoke

Arsenal are only a couple of good players away from becoming a big problem for the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea next year and will comfortably win this one.

Stoke have had an excellent first season in the Premier League and fully deserve to stay up.

Verdict: 2-0

Aston Villa v Newcastle

Aston Villa v Newcastle

I know Newcastle are reliant on other results anyway but I just don't see them getting anything at Villa and staying up. Sorry Alan!

Being relegated would not be the end of the world because it would give them a chance to reorganise things at the club, and let's face it that needs to happen.

You can't go through so many managers in a season because the players don't know what is going on and I just think their buying policy has not been good enough. Relegation will give them a chance to clear the dead wood at the club.

Villa have had a stuttering three months, but overall it's been a good season for Martin O'Neill and they can still finish in fifth place and catch Everton.

Verdict: 2-0

Match preview

Blackburn v West Brom

Blackburn v West Brom

It's a match that doesn't particularly mean much to either side.

Blackburn's home form has kept them in the division, though only just. West Brom haven't been good enough at the front or the back and that is why they are going down.

Verdict: 2-1

Match preview

Fulham v Everton

Fulham v Everton

Fulham have had an outstanding season and Roy Hodgson has a decent shout for being named manager of the year and I also think they will grab that final Europa League slot.

Everton have also had a fine season but will inevitably have one eye on the FA Cup final, that's just the way life is.

Verdict: 2-1

Match preview

Hull v Man Utd

Hull v Man Utd

Much has been made of Manchester United's proposed team selection ahead of the game.

They have a massive game in the Champions League final a few days later so you can understand why Sir Alex Ferguson would want to rest players.

However, I still feel the team will be decent and it will include young, hungry players who in a way could be more a threat than some of the senior players who may have one eye on that final in Rome.

But I think Hull will get something in this game and I feel a point will be enough to keep them in the Premier League.

Verdict: 1-1

Match preview

Liverpool v Tottenham

Liverpool v Tottenham

Liverpool are at home and they'll want to sign off with a victory and run Manchester United as close as possible so I think they'll beat Tottenham. But it should be an open and entertaining affair.

Harry Redknapp has done a fantastic job at Tottenham when you consider where they were when he took over.

I think they'll be a huge threat next season because they will add to their squad and those players will be of the highest quality.

Verdict: 2-1

Match preview

Man City v Bolton

Man City v Bolton

Manchester City's home form has generally been very good, they just need to get the mix of players they have in their side right if they are going to be as good away from Eastlands.

Bolton have done well because they've avoided relegation and they were one of the handful of teams that were tipped to go down, so from that point of view it's been a successful season.

Verdict: 2-0

Match preview

Sunderland v Chelsea

Sunderland v Chelsea

I think Sunderland will lose to Chelsea but stay up by virtue of Newcastle's result at Aston Villa.

They've been on an such a bad run and what is a such a mystery is that Kenwyne Jones and Djibril Cisse just haven't got the goals everyone expected them to. The pair just haven't gelled and that will probably make Sunderland's mind up about whether or not to keep Cisse.

Verdict: 0-2

Match preview

West Ham v Middlesbrough

West Ham v Middlesbrough

With Stewart Downing out injured in all honestly there is only Tuncay left in that team who has any real quality.

Middlesbrough defensively have been very poor and they've been far too easy to score against. They'll go down but I still think Gareth Southgate will keep his job as he's working with a very supportive chairman in Steve Gibson.

Verdict: 2-1

Match preview

Wigan v Portsmouth

Wigan v Portsmouth

It's been difficult season for Portsmouth who are in a dire situation financially and will have to offload players in the summer.

Wigan will also lose their best assets in the summer, but that's how manager Steve Bruce operates things at the club. He buys them cheap and sells them on at a profit if he can. But it's been a decent enough season for Wigan who will look to end on a high in front of their own fans.

Verdict: 2-1
