Чемпионат Англии от BBC

Birmingham v Arsenal

Birmingham v Arsenal

Birmingham have lost their last couple of games so they will want to make this one as tight as they possibly can.

They went on their exceptional run when they were set up not to be beaten and they will want to start playing like that again.

Arsenal are playing very well and there is the Eduardo factor to consider, too, as St Andrews is where the Gunners striker suffered a horrific injury a couple of years back.

Prediction: 1-1

Match preview

Chelsea v Aston Villa

Chelsea v Aston Villa

Chelsea's thrashing of Portsmouth in midweek was a tremendous way for them to bounce back after some disappointing results and it shows they are a top team.

They will want to put more pressure on Manchester United by winning this one, and Villa looked a bit leggy against Sunderland on Wednesday.

Villa like open games, that's when it suits them - but this one won't be like that.

Prediction: 2-0

Match preview

Hull City v Fulham

Hull City v Fulham

Hull should have won at Portsmouth last weekend, no doubt about it. The game should have been wrapped up with them leading 2-1 with two minutes left but they keep conceding bad goals, and they lost 3-2!

They have so many doubts defensively and have conceded goals all season long. The trouble is that new boss Iain Dowie cannot come in and stop that happening in only a couple of weeks.

Fulham won't want three defeats in a week and they should get a draw against a team that are struggling to stay up.

Prediction: 1-1

Tottenham v Portsmouth

Tottenham v Portsmouth

This is the curtain-raiser for the FA Cup semi-final meeting between the sides.

Tottenham are in fourth and have some tough games coming up, so they really need to win this one. Pompey are cruising to the semi-final because with all due respect to them, they're relegated already.

Portsmouth might be forgiven if they chose to leave players out between now and their 11 April Wembley appearance because it would be massive for them if they got to an FA Cup final this season - not to mention what a boost it would be for their finances.

Prediction: 2-0

Match preview

West Ham v Stoke City

West Ham v Stoke City

Everyone jumped on West Ham after they lost at home to Wolves on Tuesday. They have had a bad run at the wrong time, but I fancy them to bounce back on Saturday.

The problem we have in football now is that if a manager loses one game he is a muppet and if he wins one he is a genius.

But there are three teams in the league worse off than West Ham and some of the Hammers' key players still have an eye on the World Cup, so you would expect them to raise their game.

Stoke are sitting comfortably and, although they are never easy to play against, I'm going with the Hammers.

Prediction: 2-1

Match preview

Wolves v Everton

Wolves v Everton

Is there anyone in the Premier League playing better than Everton at the moment, with the exception of Arsenal?

They were at their professional best as they won at Manchester City on Wednesday and are looking like a very good team at the moment. They are only three points behind Liverpool, would you believe?

Wolves have had some real success recently as they have taken seven points from three away games, and in playing Kevin Doyle on his own up front they seem to have hit upon a way of troubling teams.

Prediction: 1-1

Match preview

Bolton v Manchester United (1730 GMT)

Bolton v Man Utd

This is a derby of sorts. Bolton are trying to play more attractive football with Owen Coyle in charge and it's a boost for them to have Gary Cahill coming back too.

But every obstacle you put in front of this Manchester United side they just seem to overcome and I can see them taking the points from this one.

the fixtures haven't fallen kindly for United, with them playing at Saturday teatime before a Champions League away game on Tuesday, but Sir Alex Ferguson's side will deal with it.

Prediction: 1-2

Match preview

SUNDAY

Burnley v Blackburn (1200 BST)

Burnley v Blackburn

If people did not already know it before, everyone is now aware that these two seriously do not like each other.

Blackburn are safe from the drop because of their home form. Burnley used to have similar joy at home, but they don't look like winning football matches any more.

They are so hard to predict, these games. If I was going to have a bet it would be on someone getting sent off rather than the score! But I'm sure Blackburn would love to play a part in Burnley going down and they might just do that.

Prediction: 1-2

Match preview

Liverpool v Sunderland (1600 BST)

Liverpool v Sunderland

Liverpool must win all of their home games if they are to have any chance of getting that fourth place and the final Champions league spot. They aren't favourites to achieve it but they definitely still have a chance.

Their rivals Spurs have some difficult games and an FA Cup semi-final on their minds - as do Aston Villa, while Manchester City have problems with consistency.

Sunderland had a midweek game and that might make it a bit tougher for them, so I'll go for a Liverpool victory.

Prediction: 2-0

MONDAY

Man City v Wigan (2000 BST)

Man City v Wigan

I would expect City to win this, but the balance of the team just has not been right in recent weeks and I'm not sure what manager Roberto Mancini is doing.

He seems to make changes for the sake of it. I wish he would pick his best team for a few games - they haven't got any other commitments after all.

I know I'll bore people by saying it again, but you just never know which Wigan is going to turn up.

Prediction: 2-0
