Чемпионат Англии от BBC

SATURDAY

Tottenham v Everton (1245 BST)

Tottenham v Everton

Everton played very well against Liverpool last week and showed they are a much better team than their early season results suggested. They will give Tottenham a good game too.

I was at the San Siro on Wednesday and Spurs were run ragged for most of the first 60 minutes by Inter Milan before almost fighting back late on.

The next game after playing in the Champions League is a big test for any squad, and Spurs have got a few defensive problems at the moment too - but they have got enough strength in depth to cope.

Prediction: 1-1

Match preview

Birmingham v Blackpool

Birmingham v Blackpool (200x100)

Blackpool were so unlucky not to get anything out of their game with Manchester City last week and they have been a real breath of fresh air in the Premier League this season.

Birmingham are not not having a great time of things at the moment, and scoring goals seems to be a problem for them, but I still think they will have a bit too much for Blackpool - and this might be the end of the Seasiders' good run.

Prediction: 2-1

Match preview

Chelsea v Wolves

Chelsea v Wolves

Michael Essien and Nicolas Anelka were simply awesome for Chelsea against Spartak Moscow in midweek and this Blues side is so strong that I just feel they will steam-roller Wolves.

Mick McCarthy's side are another team on a poor run and Stamford Bridge is the last place you want to go when you badly need a win.

Prediction: 3-0

Match preview

Sunderland v Aston Villa

Sunderland v Aston Villa

Gerard Houllier has made an encouraging start as Aston Villa boss but he is still finding his feet and they are very much a work in progress at the moment.

Sunderland have started the season well without getting enough wins - they have drawn more games than any other Premier League team - but they should put that right here.

Prediction: 2-0

Match preview

West Brom v Fulham

West Brom v Fulham

West Brom are not far from Blackpool in terms of being the side who have surprised the most people since winning promotion. They have been up and down from the Premier League a few times in the last few years but this is the best side they have had in the top flight for a long time.

The Baggies will be full of confidence after their draw at Old Trafford last weekend, even if that was quite fortuitous because of Edwin van der Sar's howler.

Fulham's defeat by Spurs was their first of the season but, with their injuries, you can understand why they are so short of goals. I cannot see them getting anything at The Hawthorns.

Prediction: 2-0

Match preview

Wigan v Bolton

Wigan v Bolton

Not so long ago, this would have been your stereotypical 'earthy' Lancashire derby but both of these teams try to play a lot more football these days.

Under Owen Coyle, Bolton's change in approach has been more noticeable but he has done it slowly but surely, and very effectively.

This should be a close game. Wigan should have seen things out comfortably against Newcastle after leading 2-0 but had to settle for a point and you never quite know what to expect from them.

Prediction: 2-1

Match preview

West Ham v Newcastle (1730 BST)

West Ham v Newcastle

The main reason Newcastle have slid down the table is their home form but they have other issues to deal with too, like Andy Carroll's personal problems for a start.

West Ham are still bottom of the table but they are unbeaten in five games now and I think they will be playing with a bit of confidence.

Prediction: 2-0

Match preview

SUNDAY

Stoke v Man Utd (1330 BST)

Stoke v Man Utd

Stoke will undoubtedly make life difficult for United, who I would imagine will be without a certain Wayne Rooney again for this game.

United keep giving goals away but in the first half of their draw against West Brom they created chance after chance and, going forward, they remain a big threat.

Prediction: 1-2

Match preview

Liverpool v Blackburn

Liverpool v Blackburn

Take Steven Gerrard and Pepe Reina out of this Liverpool side and you are not left with a lot. I have not seen them play as badly as they have been for a long, long time.

But you have to think that Roy Hodgson has the players in his squad to turn this around.

Blackburn might not seem the easiest opposition on paper because they lump the ball into the box but their movement is not the greatest so Liverpool should be able to cope.

Prediction: 2-0

Match preview

Man City v Arsenal (1600 BST)

Man City v Arsenal

This is going to be a clash of the little magicians in the Arsenal midfield - Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Andrey Arshavin - and Manchester City's powerful players like Yaya Toure, Nigel de Jong and Gareth Barry.

I think City will set themselves up in a similar way to when they played Chelsea, almost as if they are the away team, and they will keep things very tight.

Prediction: 1-1
