Чемпионат Англии от BBC

Blackburn were 10 minutes away from victory last week against Sunderland but conceded silly goals - and that has been the story of their season so far.

Blackburn v West Brom

They haven't had too many problems scoring and although Steve Kean's team lacks quality I don't feel he has lost the players like others are suggesting.

This is a West Brom side that have been consistently inconsistent, which will be very frustrating for their manager Roy Hodgson.

Prediction: 2-1

Match preview

Everton v Norwich

Norwich fans will turn up in their droves, making a lot of noise, and adding to the atmosphere at Goodison Park. It's a great place to play because the crowd are at you all the time.

The Canaries have generally given a good account of themselves on their travels and don't even look like they're going to struggle in the Premier League this season. They are more than capable of holding their own.

Everton v Norwich

Cult-figure Grant Holt has done well and is a handful when the wide men pump crosses into the box, and Steve Morison isn't a bad player either.

But they come up against an Everton team that will fight them - I mean that in the best possible way - and the Toffees will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing performance in the defeat by Stoke.

Prediction: 2-0

Match preview

Fulham v Bolton

Fulham went out of the Europa League after conceding a late goal on Wednesday and this is a game they must win in order to drag themselves away from the relegation zone.

They tend to squeeze their opponents when playing at home and if you're not quite at your game, you won't get anything from Craven Cottage.

Fulham v Bolton

Bolton, meanwhile, are all over the place and no part of the team is functioning particularly well, leaving manager Owen Coyle under all sorts of pressure.

They've lost so many games this season and it's a results business. Nevertheless, it's easy to sack a manager but you have to be absolutely certain the person you bring in is going to be better.

Prediction: 2-1

Match preview

Newcastle v Swansea

Newcastle had a hard run of games where they faced the two Manchester clubs and Chelsea, managing only one point, then lost against Norwich to compound matters, and their extensive injury problems mean they look a completely different outfit from a few weeks ago.

Newcastle v Swansea

Swansea are a completely different animal at home to when they are away but Brendan Rodgers has got his team keeping the ball well.

Prediction: 1-1

Match preview

Wolves v Stoke

Stoke have suddenly transformed into the form team when it looked as though they were going to drop down the league, and they come up against a Wolves side that was swatted away at Old Trafford last week.

Wolves v Stoke

Even though this time most of the players won't have had the journey to Istanbul and back to contend with, Stoke have found it difficult to marry the Europa League and the Premier League.

Mick McCarthy will have been like a bear with a sore head all week and I wouldn't have wanted to be training at their place with him shouting every minute.

These two have had some good battles in the past but I fancy Wolves at home.

Prediction: 2-1

Match preview

Wigan v Chelsea (1730 GMT)

I'm afraid Wigan won't get anything out of this game. They had a great win last weekend against West Brom but their results at home have been poor with teams going to the DW Stadium and winning comfortably.

Wigan v Chelsea

Chelsea are on a good run now and manager Andre Villas-Boas looks like he is winning his little battle at the club to change their playing style and personnel.

He has said Fernando Torres is not for sale, but the Spaniard is just not the same player anymore.

The evidence suggests he can't do the things he used to be able to do at Liverpool. The touch just isn't there, but that comes with confidence.

Prediction: 0-3

Match preview

SUNDAY

QPR v Manchester United (1200 GMT)

Games like these are what QPR are in the Premier League for - playing Manchester United at your place.

Despite defeat, QPR were competitive against Liverpool last weekend but with United just two points behind their rivals City now, they've got the bit between their teeth.

QPR v Man United

Everyone has been raving about how good City have been, but United are right on their tail.

Even so, I feel Edwin van der Sar has been a great miss for them and they haven't replaced Paul Scholes, while Nemanja Vidic's absence for the rest of the season could prove to be the difference between winning and not winning the title.

Sir Alex Ferguson might dip into the transfer market in January, but the type of player he wants might still be playing in the Champions League so why would he want to move to Manchester United, who are now out of it?

But that is further down the line. On Sunday, I can't see where the goals for QPR are coming from.

Prediction: 0-2

Match preview

Aston Villa v Liverpool (1405 GMT)

Villa played better at Bolton and looked a bit more attacking than they usually do, and they were a better team for that.

Aston Villa v Liverpool

Alex McLeish has set the side up to be difficult to beat but they hadn't won many games.

Liverpool hadn't lost for a while before their defeat to Fulham and with the depth of squad that they have now, they can bounce back quickly from that as victory over QPR showed.

The Reds generally have a good record over Villa but lost there last season, going down to a Stewart Downing goal.

Prediction: 1-1

Match preview

Tottenham v Sunderland

It was a fantastic result for Sunderland last week and a wonder goal from Sebastian Larsson after he missed a penalty the week before.

Tottenham v Sunderland

He was under immense pressure with that kick but in terms of technique and delivery, it was one of the free-kicks of the year. Like all the teams that occupy the bottom half of the table, Sunderland need a reliable goalscorer.

Tottenham are a very good side and were on the wrong end of some decisions in their defeat at Stoke.

They dominated the second half there and remain a threat at the top of the table. The title, however, could be a step too far for them if only because of the quality Manchester United and Manchester City have.

Prediction: 2-0

Match preview

Man City v Arsenal (1610 GMT)

City were terrific for the first 25 minutes against Chelsea and their passing and movement was great.

They just didn't get enough chances for the amount of possession they had, but they're at home and it's the biggest test Arsenal have had for a while.

Man City v Arsenal

The Gunners have been playing very well and we know how good Robin van Persie is.

Last season, the Gunners went there and won comfortably 3-0 after Dedryck Boyata got sent off early on.

I fancy City for this one though, because their Champions League exit and their defeat by Chelsea will mean they are eager to get back on track.

And if they do win, the players will be thinking they really can go on and take the Premier League title.

Prediction: 2-0
