Aberdeen v Hearts

This is going to be a tight game. Aberdeen got trounced by Dundee United last week, so the way to bounce back is with a win - and they did that against Falkirk in the cup.

If they had lost that game, then people would have been taking a closer look at them. Aberdeen are a good home team, and Jamie Smith gives them something special, so they'll be expecting to do well.

Hearts got a great result against Hibs too, but then struggled against Motherwell in the cup, which has basically been the story of their season - erratic.

Hearts are perfectly capable, and they're showing signs of tightening things up, so I'm tempted to go for a draw on this one.

Hibernian v Gretna

Hibs are facing difficult times at the moment. Mixu got a great reaction with his first win, but then lost the big one against Hearts.

Getting a new manager in makes all the difference and Mixu will be starting to set things up his own way, although Gretna will still be a tough task.

I tipped a draw last week for Gretna, and they ended up getting a win.

They're going for a physical approach to their football, and I think they'll put in a determined shift like they did against Rangers, but I think Hibs' league form will improve.

Gretna will sneak a goal in this one, but Hibs should win it.

Kilmarnock v Dundee United

It's tough times right now for Killie. There's been a lot of expectations at Rugby Park because of how well they've done in the past couple of seasons.

But they've been ravaged with injuries and they only have a small squad, so it takes its toll on them.

They're just going to have to take it on the chin that they're going to be a bottom six team, but it would be good if the players put in a shift to repay the work Jim Jefferies has done, but they're struggling for confidence at the moment.

United, on the other hand, are getting better and better. Barry Robson is scoring goals, which is attracting attention from teams all over the country.

However, I don't think United will do well in this particular game, they always struggle away to Kilmarnock, and I think the home team will sneak a point from this one.

Motherwell v Inverness CT

Motherwell failed to turn up against St Mirren last week.

The Fir Park pitch isn't in great condition, but I love watching them - they always have a real go at teams.

They also have a bounce-back factor. Ross Mccormack is on top form, he's really sharp and I think they're capable of winning this game with him in their side.

Caley Thistle have had a good run recently but most of their success has come at home.

I reckon Motherwell will have too much for them and will probably win it.

Rangers v St Mirren

Rangers are winning games at the moment and they're doing it the way Celtic did in the last two seasons to become champions.

They're not playing particularly well but they're still getting results - grinding them out with the odd goal, and you have to do that in this league.

St Mirren have learned a lot from last season, and are performing much better - they're clear of relegation and the Motherwell game last week was their best performance of the season.

They look more relaxed, they're enjoying their football and they deserved their win.

However, I think Rangers are too positive right now, and they'll do enough to win it reasonably comfortably, but it should still be a good show.

Falkirk v Celtic

Falkirk started the season poorly, but then went on a great run, which has only just recently come to an end.

Things just aren't going the way John Hughes planned and the defeat to Gretna was a blow, as was the meek nature of their midweek defeat to Aberdeen.

This is an ideal game for them to bounce back - they always have a go at Celtic.

But even though Celtic might find it hard, Gordon Strachan has got his men on a winning run and they look more comfortable than most teams in the league right now.

Even though I think Falkirk might score in this one, Celtic should edge it.
