Bolton v Fulham (2000)
This will be seen as a must-win for both. Fulham have signed a few players but Bolton worry me as they have not signed anyone to replace striker Nicolas Anelka.
Neither side will want to lose and I can see them cancelling each other out.
Prediction: 1-1
Middlesbrough v Wigan
This is another one between teams near the bottom. Wigan have got something about them but they will have to keep all their players fit to be safe.
But with them and Middlesbrough I can't see where the goals are going to come from so I'm going for another draw and not a classic on a Tuesday evening at the Riverside as both will be ultra-cautious.
Prediction: 0-0
Sunderland v Birmingham
I think Sunderland will win enough games to stay out of the bottom three at the end of the season. Their crowd will be a big factor and that's why I'm going for them to win this one.
My worry about Birmingham is that on the road they have looked vulnerable and not good defensively. I know they have signed James McFadden and the left-back David Murphy but it's still a concern.
Prediction: 2-1
WEDNESDAY
Chelsea v Reading
Chelsea just go on. You are bored hearing that they have got players out with injury and on Africa Cup of Nations duty and yet they keep winning. It shows how outstanding a squad they have and they are still in contention for the title.
Reading have to be careful they do not get sucked into the relegation battle. They don't look like they are going to win away and their home form is a bit shaky.
Prediction: 2-0
Derby v Man City
The problem with Derby is that they are playing like a team that has been relegated. They have made some new signings but, no matter what manager Paul Jewell says, they have a losing mentality and that has got to be changed.
Man City are not playing well. Their home form has flattered them somewhat this season but as long as they defend well they will be fine.
Prediction: 0-2
Everton v Tottenham (2000)
Everton are good at identifying weaknesses in teams and players that need to be stopped. They are good at home and I'm going for them to win.
I know Tottenham are in the Carling Cup final but under pressure they make defensive mistakes. They have a lot of work to do at the back.
Prediction: 2-0
Man Utd v Portsmouth (2000)
Pompey's away form has been outstanding so far this season but at Old Trafford they will face so many good players and be posed with so many problems as Man Utd are looking very good.
Lassana Diarra and Milan Baros will make a difference to Pompey and they could finish as close to the top four as anyone.
Prediction: 2-0
West Ham v Liverpool
Interesting. West Ham's home form is not great as they lack confidence at Upton Park. They are helped by the fact that their injured players are slowly coming back.
I don't know what to expect with Liverpool because no-one ever knows the team manager Rafael Benitez will pick. But he needs to start picking his strongest side as they need results.
Prediction: 1-2
