I feel they can play a more expansive game on Falkirk's pitch, but the Bairns should be good for a point.
Prediction: 1-1
Gretna v Dundee United
I tipped Gretna to beat Kilmarnock on Wednesday night simply because it was their last chance saloon.
The Black and Whites responded in great fashion for the victory, plus they have done well against United in previous meetings. If they can force another win it would make life interesting at the bottom but the departure of Kenny Deuchar will be a big blow.
United aren't scoring enough goals, as highlighted in the performance against St Mirren. But they are an organised team under Craig Levein, so I fancy that will be enough for them to secure a draw.
Prediction: 1-1
Hibernian v Celtic
Celtic weren't hugely impressive against Inverness but they managed to eke out a win which is what counts right now.
Both halves of the Old Firm know they need to carve out results, but Hibs will be a big test as they have been playing well, and, crucially, they have stiffened up at the back.
It's getting to a vital stage of the season and Celtic know it. That's why I think they'll come out all guns blazing and I fancy them the scrape through.
Prediction: 1-2
Inverness CT v Hearts
Inverness have struggled away from home at times, but they are hard to beat at home.
A lot of players don't respond very well to a visit to the Caledonian Stadium, and I would include Hearts in that category, as they have been really inconsistent.
Their confidence will be dented after a real hammering at home to an on-form Rangers on Wednesday, but I feel they'll have enough organisation to take a point.
Prediction: 1-1
Kilmarnock v St Mirren
I'm going to go with Killie to take all three points, with this game being a reality check for them.
The players will have received a rocket from Jim Jefferies after losing to Gretna. However they are the type of team who can bounce back quickly - that should be enough to claim a victory.
Saints don't concede too many goals, but I reckon Kilmarnock will edge this one, as they'll realise the possible danger of getting caught up in a relegation battle.
Prediction: 2-1
Rangers v Aberdeen
Rangers simply cannot drop points. With Celtic having a harder game at Easter Road, the Ibrox men can't afford to let their guard drop.
This fixture always has an edge to it - I feel Rangers will handle it in the right manner and a repeat of their terrific performance against Hearts should see off the Dons.
Aberdeen are low in confidence - they have little stability, the defence is shoddy and that is no way to travel to Ibrox to face a Rangers side who have won their last ten SPL games.
Prediction: 3-0 |
