West Brom v Fulham
This is an interesting one. Last week, Fulham should have beat West Ham and West Brom should have lost at Middlesbrough but the results went the other way round.
The bonus for West Brom - as with any promoted team - will be the away points but their form at home will have a big say as to how they do. Fulham are better than last season so I'm expecting a close game.
Verdict: 1-1
Wigan v Middlesbrough
Wigan are big, strong and powerful. With Emile Heskey and Amr Zaki up front and Wilson Palacios and Antonio Valencia in midfield, they have a nice balance to the side and are good at home.
Middlesbrough's performances have warranted more so far this season. They have some injuries and you start to worry that there is something missing from them.
Verdict: 2-1
Blackburn v Man Utd (Kick-off 1730 BST)
Manchester United have got over their rickety spell. I wasn't worried about them as they have very good players and are a very good team. It can take a while to get into your stride but I think they will now have the bit between their teeth.
This is Blackburn boss Paul Ince against his former Old Trafford manager Sir Alex Ferguson but, while that will give people something to talk about, the players will not be thinking about that on the pitch.
Verdict: 0-2
SUNDAY
West Ham v Bolton (Kick-off 1330 BST)
Gianfranco Zola looks like he might be a lucky manager after his West Ham side's wins over Newcastle and Fulham. It's great to be a lucky general. They have will have more belief but there is a long way to go before we can judge Zola.
Bolton were unlucky last week with the penalty decision against them at Manchester United. It was atrocious. The worry for them is about where their goals will come from. Johan Elmander has been injured and is yet to get going and Kevin Davies is a handful but does not score regularly.
Verdict: 2-0
Chelsea v Aston Villa
This is a good game and arguably the match of the weekend. Both are playing well. I know Chelsea have had injury problems but I don't think this will have a big bearing as they have such depth. This is a different Chelsea. They are multi-functional, particularly with their attacking full-backs.
This is a real test for Villa. They have made a good start to the season and are the most realistic challengers of breaking into the top four. They drew 4-4 here last season and I'm expecting a close game.
Verdict: 2-1
Man City v Liverpool
Manchester City lost to Wigan last week and their Brazilians were disappointing. They have undoubted ability but that has got to be coupled with application. My fear is they might be a home side and just turn it on at Eastlands.
Liverpool have made a very good start and everything seems to be falling into place for them. It's early days but, whisper it, it's a case of so far so good.
Verdict: 1-1
Portsmouth v Stoke
Portsmouth have picked up after a bad start. They are a bit harum scarum and you worry about a side that can let in six at Manchester City, lose to Chelsea 4-0 and then beat Tottenham quite easily - it signals inconsistency but I expect them to cause problems for Stoke.
It will be interested to see how Stoke manager Tony Pulis sets up his side. He could be more attacking as he might feel his side have a chance of getting something from Fratton Park. If not, they could be quite defensive.
Verdict: 2-0
Tottenham v Hull
Tottenham manager Juande Ramos is playing with players in Roman Pavlyuchenko and Fraizer Campbell, among others, signed just before or on transfer deadline day. They need time and Ramos knows what he is doing. Although, Pavlyuchenko needs help up front otherwise he will be a spent force by Christmas.
Hull have made a fantastic start. They did lose 5-0 at Wigan and manager Phil Brown knows it is a long season. But he will also know picking up points as this stage of the season puts his side in a much better position for the rest of the campaign.
Verdict: 2-0
Everton v Newcastle (Kick-off 1600 BST)
Both teams need a win here. Newcastle are an absolute mess and good luck to Joe Kinnear. The players need to stop feeling sorry for themselves and start playing football. Too many of them are hiding.
Everton's defensive play has not been good. It's a mix of many things, including the loss of Lee Carsley. Individually, and as a team, they have been poor and the keeper has looked a bit iffy but I believe they will turn the corner.
Verdict: 2-0
