Falkirk v Dundee United
John Hughes' side are doing quite well. Two great wins recently although they were lucky to beat Inverness CT in the Co-operative Insurance Cup on Wednesday.
But, when you win games even when you're not on top form it breeds confidence.
They are at home and know they have to score more goals and the performances have to be better
United are really playing well and they are one of the SPL's form teams. Obviously, they were fired up to beat St Mirren following the death of chairman Eddie Thompson, but they've continued their good form and are through to the last four of the Co-operative Insurance Cup.
I can see them continuing their winning run on Saturday.
Prediction: 1-2
Motherwell v Hamilton
Motherwell are starting to get their season back on track, and managed a great result against ICT last week after going behind. But Mark McGhee will be concerned that his side seem unable to keep a clean sheet at the moment.
Accies are really struggling just now. Not in terms of passing, or effort from their players. But they're lacking a cutting edge and threat up front.
I think Accies manager Billy Reid has to experiment with his formation, maybe play two up front and get more service to his strikers.
If they do that, they can start putting some wins together, but I can't see that happening at Fir Park.
Prediction: 3-1
Rangers v Inverness CT
I can't see anything other than a Rangers win. Walter Smith's side aren't firing on all cylinders, they're not at their best, but are still picking up the points. The return of captain Barry Ferguson will be a big boost, but I think he'll have to settle for a place on the bench.
For Inverness, I've been impressed so far this season by big Grant Munro. He does a steady job for Inverness. And their strikers look pretty good - Andrew Barrowman and Adam Rooney are both sharp. The other thing is that they play well collectively, without relying on specific individuals to rescue games.
Rangers will do enough to win it at Ibrox.
Prediction: 2-0
St Mirren v Hibernian
Gus MacPherson will be happy after being named manager of the month for October - even if there were other clubs with better records over the month! Saints have been doing well and that form has taken them off the bottom of the table. They always give sides a tough game.
I love Billy Mehmet's attitude - and he prides himself in working hard and never gives defenders a moment to relax.
Hibs are dangerous going forward, but defensively they still look weak.
There's still a lot more to come from Derek Riordan in his second spell at the club, but he's looking good. Another month will see him get back to full fitness. He's establishing a good rapport with fellow strikers Steven Fletcher and Colin Nish.
I can see the sides sharing the points.
Prediction: 1-1
Hearts v Celtic (Sun)
The Jambos are doing okay, they never have to raise their game against the Old Firm, but it's the other games that are the problem. They have been playing reasonably well so far this season, but nothing special. Manager Csaba Laszlo will be looking for them to be more consistent at home, but they'll have their work cut out on Sunday.
I watched Celtic in the Co-operative Insurance Cup quarter-final against Kilmarnock and that's the best I've seen them pass the ball for a long time.
They were fantastic, great width - everyone wanting the ball. Shaun Maloney and Aiden McGeady look to have hit form at the right time and the side look like they can score at will.
There will be goals in this game, and while I can see Hearts getting one, Celtic will be too strong.
Prediction: 1-2
