Arsenal v Aston Villa
This is back to reality for Arsenal. As good as the kids were the other night in the Carling Cup, not many - if any - of those boys will be involved against Villa.
So it's up to the first-teamers to build on their great result and performance against Manchester United last week - and you have to say they are playing Martin O'Neill's side at exactly the right time, following Villa's recent run of two defeats.
O'Neill will want to shake things up a bit and reshuffle his side maybe, but of all the fixtures his side could have had this weekend, this is a real toughie. As much as anything, he'll just be after an improved performance.
Verdict: 2-0
Blackburn v Sunderland
Obviously Blackburn beat Sunderland at the Stadium of Light this week in the Carling Cup, but I'm not sure that will have a massive bearing on this match, other than maybe giving them a little boost.
Neither of these sides are enjoying the best of times at the moment, but I think Blackburn are certainly due a win with the players they have got, so I'm tipping them to edge it.
Verdict: 2-1
Fulham v Tottenham
Harry Redknapp can't do anything wrong at the moment can he? It's frightening! He's now got Spurs looking confident, getting points, looking forward and he's made the training ground a good place to be.
What's more, after making seven changes and still beating Liverpool in the Carling Cup this week he's shown he's got competition for places.
However, Fulham are good at home - a real handful. While their away form isn't great, they've got some good, consistent players and I fancy them to get something out of this match.
Verdict: 1-1
Man Utd v Stoke
I have to back the home team all the way here. I think of all the games Stoke have played against the 'big guns' this season - Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool - this is now the biggest one.
While they got an impressive point at Anfield, the difference here is that United come at you from all different areas of the pitch. It's very difficult to get the ball, to keep the ball and then, hardest of all, to make something of it once you've got it!
United's first teamers have also had a week off having been rested for the Carling Cup, while Stoke played in midweek, so it all points to a comfortable home win for me.
Verdict: 3-0
Newcastle v Wigan
Away from home they may still be lacking but at home Newcastle are definitely improving.
They can't afford any injuries this season whatsoever, but with Michael Owen coming back to fitness they look like they have some real good options on the bench.
For their part, Wigan are having a bit of a tough time at the moment - they're now struggling to score as well as pick up points. They may have had a good win against Portsmouth but then they struggled to break down Stoke so I'm going for Newcastle to edge it.
Verdict: 2-0
West Ham v Portsmouth
West Ham are having all sorts of problems at the moment. They have injured players, negative rumours regarding the sale of the club and, worst of all, they've had some terrible results lately - not least being mugged by Everton last week.
Portsmouth, meanwhile, enjoyed an important win last week. As their new boss Tony Adams said, they've played better and lost, but that's a good sign if they can win those games.
What Adams will do is work Pompey hard and get them defensively sound, but West Ham have quality too so I'm going with a draw.
Verdict: 1-1
West Brom v Chelsea (1730 GMT)
Chelsea always bounce back. While losing in the Carling Cup got the headlines this week, I'm sure privately in the dressing room they will be thinking "oh well, we're out, big deal".
And, lest we forget, Man Utd went out of the Carling Cup to Coventry last season and went on to win the Premier League and Champions League double.
I'm sure West Brom will be looking at this match thinking if they can get anything out of it whatsoever it will be a huge bonus. But I just don't see them doing so.
Verdict: 0-2
SUNDAY
Everton v Middlesbrough (1330 GMT)
I actually think Boro have had a good season so far. That may sound daft given they were near the bottom not so long ago, but this is a better Boro side than we have seen before - they've got more about them, more energy and more attacking options.
That said, Everton have got the bit between their teeth at the moment and they're getting better and better at home, so I'm backing them to win it.
Everton had a real strange start, conceding a lot of goals, but they've tightened up and, in Mikel Arteta, Tim Cahill et al they've got quality - and the cream always rises to the top.
Verdict: 2-0
Hull v Man City (1600 GMT)
Some might view this match as pretty important for Man City boss Mark Hughes after being given very public backing by the club this week - but I don't think it was a 'vote of confidence' in the normal sense of the phrase.
I like the noises coming out of the club and from the owners about their future aims - they want to be in the Champions League, but know they won't get there this season and are content to build slowly and let Mark get on with it.
I watched Man City last week against Spurs and, when it was 11 v 11, I thought they looked the better side. They can't complain about the sendings off, nor the defeat in the end, but they are better than their results show and if they cut out the mistakes they will march up the league.
I'm backing them to start winning again on Sunday. It could well come down to the battle of the Brazilians - Geovanni v Robinho - but I think Man City will come out on top.
Verdict: 1-2
