Kilmarnock did not play well in their Scottish Cup win over Falkirk but the late goal gave them a new lease of life and was a real weight off their shoulders.
I think this will be a tough game for the home side, with the visitors likely to frustrate them for long spells.
Prediction: 1-1
Hibernian v Hamilton
Hibs are stuttering at the moment and they can't always rely on a goal out of nothing from Anthony Stokes or Derek Riordan when things aren't going well.
This will be a tight affair but, if the home side can raise their game and get the forwards involved in dangerous areas, they should have enough to win it.
Hamilton can keep the ball for fun and they are strong across the middle of the park. However, they do lack a cutting edge in attack.
Tiredness might be a factor after three tough games with Rangers but Billy Reid can freshen things up with a few changes.
Prediction: 2-1
Motherwell v St Mirren (1230)
Motherwell will want to put their Scottish Cup defeat at Inverness behind them and I expect a reaction from the home team.
They got a wonderful win at Rugby Park last weekend and I reckon the home side will make most of running in this one.
St Mirren are a tricky team to try and second guess but their away record is not great.
At home they are so solid but they don't seem capable of replicating that form on the road and I think they will lose out again.
Prediction: 2-1
Rangers v Hearts
I can see this game being a real struggle for Rangers and I wouldn't be surprised if the league leaders drop points.
Walter Smith's side have lost a bit of momentum during their three-game run against Hamilton and they have problems with key players missing up front.
Hearts will make this a dour struggle, with their defensive approach.
They are a really stubborn side and confidence will be a high after a great run of results in the league.
Rangers will probably shade it but I don't think it will be one for the purists.
Prediction: 1-0
SUNDAY 24 JANUARY
Falkirk v Dundee United (1315)
I was really impressed by Falkirk during the week and they were very unlucky to lose in the cup at Kilmarnock.
The Bairns play some nice football and look to have a bit more menace up front in recent weeks, so I'm tipping them to build on last weekend's brilliant draw at Celtic Park.
Dundee United are on a good run of three wins after a shaky opening for interim manager Peter Houston.
Confidence should be high after moving third in the table but every now and then they chuck in a bad performance.
Prediction: 2-1
St Johnstone v Celtic (1530)
St Johnstone have been unlucky with postponements but they didn't appear to be too rusty when they took care of Forfar in the cup during the week.
The Perth side always have a go and I love watching Jody Morris pulling the strings in midfield.
Celtic are there to be shot at, no doubt about it. And the pressure will be piled on if Rangers get the win on Saturday and pull further away.
They huffed and puffed against Falkirk and lacked real purpose against Morton in the cup. Anything other than a major improvement on those performances will make it really tough for the visitors.
Prediction: 1-2
