LYON v REAL MADRID

Lyon and Real Madrid meet again. Last year Lyon won 3-0 at home while drawing in Madrid. Compared to last season, Real Madrid have some new players: Diarra, Cannavaro, Emerson, Van Nistelrooy and...Antonio Cassano. Yes, Cassano. Since Fabio Capello came back as trainer of Real, Cassano is surely a "new" player. He had him in Rome and it is not a secret that Capello is the only trainer who succeeded until now to "administrate" the difficult genius of Bari. The other teams of Group E are Dinamo Kiev and Steaua. Lyon and Real will try to start with three points. No matter who wins, the loser of this game will have still time and possibility to obtain the qualification against Steaua and Dinamo. I think that Lyon and Real will play an open game with Real trying to take his revenge over Lyon and Cannavaro and Cassano over Govou and Malouda (France - Italie 3-1). A really great prize at Betfair. FC København will be without Marcus Allbeck (Swedish national player) because of suspensions. But beside him FC København has no worries with players who can compete tonight. FC Københavns only problem is that they do not have a 3rd striker (beside Berglund, Allback), since they didn't succeed getting Ailton (who they have bought for 3 million euros from 1st January 2007) before the transfer window closed.

Benfica have had a terrible start of the season. First of all they have only played one match in the league because of the all troubles in Portugal regarding Gil Vicente. The first match they played was against Boavista and they lost 3-0 and got 3 red cards. They also played two matches against Austria Wien in 3rd qual. round and won 3-0 at home and draw 1-1 away in the first match.

Everybody is talking Champions League here in Denmark. It look combined 68 minutes to sell 120.000 tickets for the 3 matches so FCK will get the best support at home. FCK has another plus before this match. No doubt that both Celtic, Benfica and Manchester United doesn't count FCK for anything. This could be a problem for them, yes I know all three teams will be favourites against FCK, but FCKs team has 4 national players from Denmark, 2½ from Sweden, 2 from Norway, 1 from Ghana, 1 from Canada. So with 40.000 on stadium FCK actually has a change against Benfica.

I'll go under 2.5 goals. FCK won't attack because they have to see what Benfica is all about, and Benfica normally has a very good defense which also is FCKs strength.

Two teams with some terrible starts in the league wont risk anything here. Furthermore Henry is out for Arsenal (who to score after Reyes went to Spain?) and Van der Vaart is our for Hamburger SV. Hamburgers defense just got a little better after Kompany is back from a injury, but Sorin and Atouba is out.

To me this looks like a defensive match where both teams will be happy with 1 point.

MILAN v AEK ATHENS
The Greek team obtained only three draws in the first three rounds of the Greek Championship. Milan has started the Italian Championship with a win against Lazio (2-1). This year Milan will probably not fight for the Scudetto because of the points of penalization. This can cause a main concentration of the team in the Champions League rather than in the Serie A. In the Group H of the UEFA Champions League Milan meet AEK, Lille and Anderlecht: the qualifying to the next round should not be a problem for Milan, above all if Milan starts in the right way. In the same way Barcelona, Chelsea and Bayern did. I can not imagine a result different from a home win with a large winning margin and therefore a high number of goals scored.
