Liverpool v Burnley
Two weeks ago at Chelsea, Burnley realised the gulf in class that there is, but as long as they learn from experiences like that, they'll be fine.
These are fantastic fixtures for the newly promoted teams, but they've got to remember that these are not the games which will decide the season.
Even though they won at Bolton last time out, Liverpool weren't convincing and they really need a good win. I think they'll create enough chances to do it here.
Verdict: 3-0

Man City v Arsenal
City have begun well, but they've not come up against any of the big teams so far, so it will be interesting to see how they deal with it.
Arsenal are a great side and while City are good going forward, we don't yet know if they're good enough when they've not got the ball.
Verdict: 1-1

Portsmouth v Bolton
Not nil-nil but null-null, because of what it rhymes with.
Both teams have struggled so far and with a long hard season ahead, they won't want to give anything away.
Something that really worries me about Portsmouth is the sight of their new owner sitting with the fans, with his name on the back of his shirt - sound familiar?
The quality of players they signed doesn't convince me they can stay up - you can't replace the ones they've sold with lesser players and not expect to be down among the dead men.
Verdict: 0-0

Stoke v Chelsea
As good as Stoke are at home and the improvements they've made to their squad, I think Chelsea have a bit extra.
The transfer ban might even make them more resilient, if that's possible, and I like the fact they don't go there and bleat about things, they get on with doing a professional job.
Also, Carlo Ancelotti appreciates you have to have different ways on different days.
Verdict: 0-2

Sunderland v Hull
Steve Bruce has done his shopping at Sunderland and signed Michael Turner from Hull, which will give them an aerial presence at the back which Steve knows all about from his playing days.
Hull will be fine going forward but Phil Brown has bought and sold a few players so it'll take him a few weeks to work out what his best team is.
Verdict: 2-1
Wigan v West Ham
Wigan have had a bit of an up and down start so far, which is only to be expected with a manager who's new to the division and has changed the squad a bit.
They might have benefitted from the international break after that last-minute loss to Everton and I think West Ham will have a bit more difficult season than last time.
Verdict: 2-1
Match preview
Tottenham v Man Utd (1730 KO)
There are some weekends when you think United can get away without the likes of Rio Ferdinand and Edwin van der Sar, but this is not one of them.
Tottenham are great going forward, but will always give chances and concede goals.
Verdict: 1-1

SUNDAY
Birmingham v Aston Villa (1200 KO)
With local derbies, when you're playing for bragging rights, it's easy to lose sight of the fact that all you can really get out of the game is winning or dropping three points - because of the local factor, it always seems so much bigger than that.
This early in the season, when both teams are still bedding players in, it's bound to be a bit nervy.
Verdict: 1-1
Match preview
Fulham v Everton (1615 KO)
After a couple of early losses, and with the Joleon Lescott saga finally over, Everton seem to have come back a bit.
David Moyes signed a few players just before the deadline but has probably hardly seen them because of international duty.
I don't think Fulham's home form will be as good as last year, and the injury to Andy Johnson will be a big loss.
Verdict: 1-2
